Warranties, Insurance & Credentials
Warranties
All Proficiency extension and conversion projects are covered by a 15-year warranty on structural work. We stand behind our work and are proud to provide this warranty for our customers’ peace of mind and satisfaction.
Settlement cracks often appear after the completion of a project. These are normal. We recommend that customers wait a full year before requesting repairs, as settling and seasonal temperature fluctuations often produce additional cracks.
Full warranty details are available upon request.
Insurance
Proficiency carries a Public Liability limit of £5,000,000 for any one incident, and Employers Liability of £10,000,000 for any one incident and all risks cover. We are insured by Federation of Master Builders Insurance. This insurance protects your structure, belongings, and exterior, as well as project supplies and our own workers. Proficiency also has Contractors All Risk insurance and Professional Indemnity which covers both new works and any design work.
Documentation is available upon request and is always included in official project proposals.
Snagging
Proficiency projects include a generous three-to-six-month snagging period. This is the time after the official completion of the project during which outstanding items are finished up. Outstanding items may include repairing or finishing minor cosmetic details identified before the completion certificate was issued. They may also include items that were not completed and were missed (not identified) when the certificate was issued.
We are committed to superior craftsmanship and unsurpassed customer care. We strive to accomplish both in a snagging period that allows for all details to be completed well.
